Galerie Architektury Brno a Fakulta architektury VUT v Brně zvou na přednášku „habiTAT / Living for Future & SchloR“ vídeňských „družstevníků“ Lisy Schmidt-Colinet, Alexandera Schmoegera a Gudrun Pollack. Přednáška je doprovodným programem k aktuální výstavě Gabu Heindl: Městské konflikty – Manifest bydlení. Akce se uskuteční v úterý 1. února 2022 v 19:00 online. Přednáška bude v angličtině. Po prezentaci bude následovat diskuse s architektkou Gabu Heindl nad Manifestem bydlení.

LISA SCHMIDT-COLINET & ALEXANDER SCHMOEGER: LIVING FOR FUTURE
Lisa Schmidt-Colinet a Alexander Schmoeger, členové rakouského sdružení habiTAT a spoluiniciátoři družstevního bydlení Living for Future, budou hovořit o svých zkušenostech se syndikátem nájemníků a samoorganizovaným projektem bydlení ve Vídni. Hlavním cílem habiTAT je realizace iniciativ samosprávných a solidárních projektů bydlení. Model habiTAT je vhodný k prolomení nezpochybňované závislosti vlastníka nemovitosti a nájemníka. Syndikát je vlastně kombinací obojího. Bydlení samotných aktivistů je dlouhodobé a právní zarámování konceptu – přenesené z německého „Mietshäuser Syndikat“ – zamezuje jakýmkoli dalším spekulacím s nemovitostmi v budoucnu. Jako nový člen habiTATu koncipovala skupina Living for Future projekt bydlení 1-10-100, který má nyní možnost realizovat ve 14. vídeňském obvodu.
Lisa Schmidt-Colinet a Alexander Schmoeger jsou spoluiniciátory sdružení Living for Future a navíc navrhují architektonickou podobu jeho probíhajícího projektu bydlení. Od roku 2001 spolupracují vídeňští architekti na projektech napříč obory architektury a urbanismu, uměleckým výzkumem a intervencí. Jsou spoluautory knihy „Pabellon Cuba – 4dimensions, 4decades“, vydané v roce 2008 (b_books Berlin), a ve spolupráci s Florianem Zeyfangem natočili několik filmů, mezi nimi „Microbrigades – Variations of a Story“ o bytové výstavbě na Kubě, uvedený v roce 2013 na 63. ročníku festivalu Berlinale, Forum Expanded.

GUDRUN POLLACK: SCHLOR
SchloR je vídeňský okruh přátel, kteří v Simmeringu našli pozemek s budovami, které chtějí od roku 2019 spravovat a obývat je. Na rozdíl od kapitalistické soutěže však jejich cílem není maximalizace zisku, ale spíše perspektiva sebeurčení a spravedlivého nájemného na dobu neurčitou. Používají model, který zcela vylučuje jakoukoli další spekulaci. Podobná forma vzniká v Rakousku na příkladu syndikátu nájemních domů v Německu.
Se zakoupenou nemovitosti má skupina mnoho plánů, včetně tělocvičny, provozních prostor a bytů: Chtějí zde nejen vařit vlastní polévku, ale také vytvořit cenově dostupné prostory pro sousedy a další projekty – srovnatelné s WUK a Sargfabrik ve Vídni nebo Willy-Fred v Linci. A právě takový svobodný prostor chybí ve všech koutech a končinách. Proč? Už je nebaví bydlet v anonymních bytových domech, kde po třech letech někdo jiný rozhodne, zda je zde dále nechá v pronájmu, a nájemníci navzájem ani netuší, kdo vlastně bydlí ve vedlejším bytě. Jako okruh přátel s uměleckým, technickým a akademickým vzděláním chtějí proces iniciovat a dlouhodobě udržet. A ve skutečnosti je to přesně to, co mnozí lidé vždycky chtěli dělat. Projekt bude zčásti postaven svépomocí jako stavba ze slaměných balíků a v budoucnu by být spravován místním sdružením co nejudržitelněji.

LISA SCHMIDT-COLINET & ALEXANDER SCHMOEGER: LIVING FOR FUTURE
Being part of the Austrian association habiTAT and as co-initiator of the housing cooperative Living for Future, Lisa Schmidt-Colinet and Alexander Schmoeger will talk about their experience with the tenement syndicat and a self-organized housing project in Vienna. habiTAT’s main target is to realize self-managed and solidary housing project initiatives. The model of habiTAT is appropriate to break the unquestioned dependency of a house owner and a tenant. The syndicat is actually a combination of both. The living space of the activists themselves is for the long term, and the legal framing of the concept – transferred from German “Mietshäuser Syndikat” – grants a written refusal to any further real estate speculation in the future. As a new habiTAT member, the group Living for Future has conceived 1-10-100, a housing project, which they now have the chance to implement in Vienna’s 14th district.

Lisa Schmidt-Colinet and Alexander Schmoeger are co-initiators of the association Living for Future and are additionally in charge of the architecture of its ongoing housing project. Since 2001, Vienna-based architects have collaborated on projects across architecture and urbanism and artistic research and intervention. They are coeditors of the book “Pabellon Cuba – 4dimensions, 4decades”, published in 2008 (b_books Berlin) and made in collaboration with Florian Zeyfang several films amongst them „Microbrigades – Variations of a Story“ on housing production in Cuba, presented 2013 at the 63. GUDRUN POLLACK: SCHLOR
SchloR is a Viennese circle of friends – who found a plot of land in Simmering with buildings that they want to manage and live on from 2019. In contrast to the capitalist competition, however, their goal is not to maximise profits but rather the prospect of self-determination and fair rent without an expiry date. They use a model that completely excludes any further speculation. A similar form is to be established in Austria on the basis of the tenement housing syndicate in Germany.
SchloR has a lot of plans with the purchase of the property, including a gymnasium, operating space and apartments: They not only want to cook their own soup there but also create affordable premises for neighbours and other projects – comparable with WUK and Sargfabrik in Vienna or Willy-Fred in Linz. And it’s precisely this kind of free space that is lacking in all corners and ends. Why? They are tired of living in anonymous apartment buildings, where other people decide whether they want to leave the apartment for rent after three years, and they have no idea who actually lives in the apartment next to them. As a circle of friends with artistic, technical and academic backgrounds, they want to get things going and keep them going in the long term. And effectively, it is exactly what many people have always wanted to do. The project will be partly self-built as a straw bale construction and, in the future, will be administered as self-sufficiently as possible by the local association.
